Untitled
[edit]Ship hits bridge? There is no information regarding the ship that missed the channel in fog and took out a span North of the lift span. The North tower was also tilted. This happened between 1970 and 1983 when I started working in Vancouver. Someone must have some detail of the event? There was a newspaper article in the bridge operators cabin. Mike Mamzur (sp) was the the chief bridgetender at the time. 2604:3D08:7A89:E700:2207:B9B9:64F9:256F (talk) 21:52, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
Original film
[edit]In 1956, an employee of Dominion Bridge was tasked with daily filming the construction. After 59 years he decided to release his film together with the conclusions of the investigation which followed the collapse. It's a very detailed and valuable historical record, but I'm not sure how to include it in this article as a verifiable source.Henrilebec (talk) 19:59, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
