End of History
[edit]Barnett's line of thinking is very much an economically focused intellectual extension of Francis Fukuyama's The End of History? thesis, published in the international affairs journal The National Interest in 1989, and later being expanded into a book in 1992.
- Really now. He doesn't sound that way to me at all?

In this presentation, the first book he mentions is 'The End of History and the Last Man'. — Sasuke Sarutobi (talk) 10:23, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Does Not Work
[edit]His ideas don't work. Since globalization has increased, conflicts certainly must have decreased if they would work. Instead, conflicts have increased as they always did since 1945. See Conflict Barometer. He may or may not know this. In any case, this leaves him clearly on the financial side of the coin, or even on the financial war side, if you prefer. --Rwst 18:01, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
-This is a factual article about the person. Opinions don't matter here. If you hold such strong opinions about the man, you should probably abstain from editing this article. -74.225.52.143 (talk) 05:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
-There are no links to reviews of Barnett's The Pentagon's New Map, such as the review by Karen Kwiatkowski at http://www.antiwar.com/kwiatkowski/?articleid=2762. Barnett's book is important because it is virtually a perfect expression of President Bush's foreign policy.

Affiliations
[edit]There is no mention of Barnett's political affiliations (not Dem or GOP). The article should be amended to include the details of his membership in the Council on Foreign Relations. His relationships with known Bilderberg attendees and promotion of globalization make it all very noteworthy, even if his own personal noteworthiness has declined somewhat since the release of his two popular books. no Early Life section?
[edit]i see various unflattering graphics posted online about this guy, claiming he's jewish. would be good to clarify the situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.208.163.150 (talk) 18:20, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed. It would be particularly damning if he were found to be part of the Judaism Crime Syndicate. 2600:1700:7BE0:1E30:6C34:D5C4:293F:A93B (talk) 22:32, 22 November 2024 (UTC)
