2024 population "estimate" says 11,434,005 which is TOTALLY INCORRECT. Last census made by an OFFICIAL ENTITY FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC (ONE), which is Oficina Nacional de Estadistica (National Office of Statistics) made an official population census, which was last on 2022, resultant of 10,760,028 HABITANTS (OFFICIAL SOURCE: https://www.one.gob.do/publicaciones/2023/infografia-primeros-resultados-x-censo-nacional-de-poblacion-y-vivienda/?altTemplate=publicacionOnline). The current Spanish version of the Dominican Republic in Wikipedia states that the current population is 10,817,113 as of 2024 (OFFICIAL WIKIPEDIA SOURCE IN SPANISH: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rep%C3%BAblica_Dominicana), based on the World Economic Outlook database: April 2024 (OFFICIAL IMF SOURCE: https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/WEO/weo-database/2024/April/weo-report?c=243,&s=NGDPD,PPPGDP,NGDPDPC,PPPPC,LP,&sy=2024&ey=2029&ssm=0&scsm=1&scc=0&ssd=1&ssc=0&sic=0&sort=country&ds=.&br=1). Then, why is there an existential discrepancy between one source and the other? Why doesn't English Wikipedia look into OFFICIAL DATASETS, just as Spanish Wikipedia does, instead of random UN population ESTIMATES (THAT AREN'T EVEN TRUE)?. This is absolutely incorrect. Please, fix this section. People still get misinformed on random unofficial datasets. Hence, I am requesting to please change the unofficial INCORRECT number of 11,434,005 HABITANTS to the official and VERIFIED number of 10,817,113, BASED on the ALREADY STATED IMF source. FIX IT RIGHT NOW. DO NOT let this happen ever again. Thanks. ANEDITORE (talk) 05:53, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnic Racial Composition innacurracy

[edit]

There seems to be an attemped to make the Dominican Republic more European than it actually is. Everytime someone post a reliable source and more accurate sources that have more realistic estimates from the dominican population, they attempt to reverse the white population and black population. In reality the Dominican population has more black dominicans than white dominicans, with mixed race being the majority. At no point in history was the population of whites higher than the blacks, even when it was just one big island (hispaniola) at the time when it was not divided. Only in the beginning was it different (1490s-1500s). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6C56:60F0:B9F0:91F5:10EF:57EA:30EC (talk) 17:44, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
